#HotSpotDrop: Nonna Picci

It wouldn’t be a true Georgia Southern student experience without a visit to one of the best, and most popular spots in the Boro! From pizzas and calzones to salads and sandwiches, Nonna Picci not only offers fresh foods you’d love to eat, but they also have live music, arcade games, and an outside bar for you to enjoy! Located right across from the campus, Nonna Picci is a woodfired stove restaurant that prides itself on selling fresh food from the highest quality ingredients!

The Ambience is #JustPicci

Whether you like the environment outside, or the scenery inside, Nonna’s has you covered. There is parking right in front of their restaurant for those who want to eat on the patio or inside, as well as parking on the sides for those headed to Nonna’s Garage.

 

As you approach the entrance to the restaurant, you’ll notice the patio in front features multiple picnic tables for customers to relax and place orders. Tables can be open, covered with an umbrella, or under an extension of their roof, lined with patio lights bright enough to eat at night! On the inside, Nonna’s creates a relaxed mood with warm lighting, music, and sports on multiple flat screen TVs. Customers have the option to sit at a table, booth, high top table, or the bar where they can order anything from the menu. To add to their modern design, they have an open view of the kitchen near the left of the restaurant, as well as a view of the scenery out front.  

 

If you’re looking for a place to host a fundraising event for your sorority, fraternity, or organization, Nonna Picci has a night for you to bring as many participants as you please, and they will give 10% of the sales for that day back to your charity!

Pizza for Everyone

Making every meal from scratch, their main attraction is their southern wood-fired pizza with light crust, freshly grated cheese, and your choice of toppings. Nonna’s allows you to build your own pizza for a base price of $7.00 or select from several 10” specialty pizzas for as low as $8.00.

Happy Hour Daily: $6 Specialty 10’’ Pizzas from 3-6pm

Nonna Picci offers specialty pizzas for many different foodies and pizza lovers. Some of their choices include: The Carnivore with 4 different meats, including capicola; The Veg with oven roasted vegetables like squash, bell peppers, and asparagus tips; and The KOA with prosciutto, pineapples, and bacon. All these pizzas, as well as Nonna’s other menu items, can be purchased at the restaurant or online through their website and other third-party delivery services.

Nonna’s Garage: Open Til’ 12am!

Pizza may be the main attraction, but Nonna’s Garage is the main event! Located directly behind Nonna Picci is one of the best student hot spots in the Statesboro area. Open at 5pm during the week and 12pm on the weekends, Nonna’s Garage offers nightly specials at their spacious socializing area for anyone 21 and up. The outdoor space has multiple picnic tables and high tops with tiki torches capable of heating the surrounding area. If you’re looking to enjoy Nonna’s food and drinks while you attend the garage, look near the entrance for the tiki bar and ordering shack. In addition to a full dining experience outside, Nonna’s garage also features a stage, large screen television, and horseshoe games for all customers to enjoy. If you thought it couldn’t get any better, the outdoor garage also features an indoor area equipped with additional booths, arcade games, billiards, another bar, and more music! As an added incentive, Nonna’s has weekly events and deals for Garage visitors to participate in such as Margarita Monday and Thursday Ladies Night!
